Aunt Vi's Sugar Shack opens in Plainville

Aunt Vi's Sugar Shack opened for business at 204 W. Mill Street in Plainville on June 8, 2006 and is having a good response from customers according to owner Vi Gehring.  

The shop offers a variety of sweets, including long johns and other doughnuts, Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte's and flavored coffees, cinnamon rolls, cookies and lunch specials.  Breakfast burritos and quesadillas are served in the morning hours.  Highlighting the lunch menu are panini sandwiches, with a choice of roast beer, turkey or ham, with cheese and grilled in a panini grill.  Walking tacos are also offered, as well as sliced of pie, or whole pies, and rolls.

The Sugar Shack is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.  You can reach them by phone at 785-688-4030.
