Central Veterinary
Services opens large animal facility
by the Stockton Sentinel
Drs. Craig and Jessica Iwanski, DVM, have announced that Central Veterinary Services large animal facility, located one-half mile east of Stockton, is now open for business. The process and paperwork for the new building began in January of 2005 with the groundbreaking held in June 2005. The facility was completed this past August.
The
building is a treatment center and working facility for large animals, i.e.
horses, cattle. Services offered included surgeries, obstetrical,
processing of cattle, and horse surgeries such as dentistries and reproductive
procedures.
This well-lit temperature-controlled environment, which has such amenities as heated floors, houses a hydraulic tilt chute for bull reproductive surgeries and to make it more manageable to work on animals' feet. There is also a ground floor trailer loadout and a semi-trailer loadout for easy loading and access of the animals.
Central Veterinary Services large animal facility is situated on 26 acres of land, and future plans for the complex include a small animal facility. Services are provided 24/7 and can be made by appointment through their clinic on Stockton's Main Street at 785-425-5100. For more information about the new large animal clinic, please call during regular office hours.
