Cune's Corner serving ice cream treats in Stockton
from the Stockton Sentinel  3/18/2010

Are you thirsty for a root beer float or craving a hot fudge sundae?  Well, if you are, you need look no further than Cune's Corner at 101 South Foster in Stockton.

Miranda (Byfield) McCune has opened up a quaint ice cream shop in the east part of Stockton on Highway 24, and it offers a variety of ice cream concoctions to tempt everyone's tastebuds.  Miranda, who will graduate from Fort Hays State University within the next year and a half in Business Management, said she opened up the ice cream shop because she really likes serving the public and has been working in restaurants all of her life.  She is very excited about the venture and is receiving help from her husband, Justin, and son Sam, as well as her father, Kendall and mother Neva.

Justin and Kendall did all of the remodeling of the building and they painted the interior, which can seat up to 18 people, with warm colors of green, brown and orange.  Neva has been helping Miranda out with the paperwork and business end.   And three-year-old Sam has been designated as the official greeter and taste tester--a job Miranda said he thoroughly enjoys.

Friday and Saturday evenings feature a full meal special.  If you would like to know what the special is ahead of time, e-mail Miranda at cunescorner@hotmail.com
