Medical provider added to group
from the Plainville Times

Dana Jewell, P.A.-C, has joined the group of medical providers which serves Rooks County and the surrounding area. Although Jewell comes to Rooks County from Ashland, she is familiar with the hospital and clinics in Plainville and Stockton by doing locum tenens (substitute health care providers) through High Plains Providers.  The company offers health care providers that can fill-in when local doctors and medical staff are away from their practices.

Jewell has joined Rooks County Medical Associates of Stockton, and will work in Plainville one day a week.  "I am looking forward to being one call in five instead of one in two," she said with a smile.  Working in southwestern Kansas, as with many rural areas, health care providers are sometimes few and far between.

Jewell said her training was focused toward rural medical work, with intensive training in internal, acute, emergency, family pediatric, neo-natal care and minor surgery.  Her practice at the Stockton clinic will be a general practice.  She looks forward to life in Rooks County.

The cities of Stockton and Plainville, and all of Rooks County welcomes Dana to the community.
