The Rooks County Health Center will move to
a newly-constructed building in Plainville in 2008. The
current building was constructed in 1954, with the new clinic
portion being added in 1987.
The hospital portion of the
building is still in good condition, but does not meet the new
2007 fire safety code requirements for a public building.
The clinic is in excellent shape, and has two separate sides, each
with it's own office space and exam rooms.
The hospital building is located
in a quiet, residential neighborhood in west Plainville.
Plainville is a city of
approximately 2,000 residents, located approximately 24 miles
north of the city of Hays (population 20,000) and Interstate 70.
