PDR's Revisited Shoppe opens
in Plainville

The building which housed Welch's flower shop for 43 years is going back to work and won't be standing empty now. PDR's Revisited Shoppe officially opened on Friday, May 11, 2007. The shoppe features second-hand quality items for sale. The store will be stocked by Peggy Richmond of Natoma. She will also take items on consignment.
"I think there's a need for this,' she said, adding that the store gives
people a chance to sell their things with out the worry of holding a garage sale
in bad weather. Richmond said the shop will feature quality items, not
cast-off trash. "I will not take other people's trash and try to
market it," she said.
Tables in the greeenhouse will be available for rent. Richmond will keep track of individual accounts and pay out twice a month. "I hope people in the area will buy into this and let me sell their garage sale items," she said. "If they want to bring stuff in the and keep adding to it, they can mark their prices or I can do it for them."
Richmond plans to have PDR's Revisited Shoppe open three or four days a week. "I'm always available by phone," she said. "If someone wants to bring something in or if they just want to shop, all they have to do is call." She intends to have the coffee pot on and looks forward to seeing many visitors in the Revisited Shoppe.
