Sale Barn has new owner

Ty Gillum announced last week (November 2, 2006) that he has purchased the Rooks County Livestock sale barn in Plainville.  Gillum, of Montezuma, has worked at Winter Livestock in Dodge City and has been involved in farming and banking.  He plans to open the sale barn in early December.  His father, Gary, will be involved in the operation of the sale barn.  "I look forward to serving the buyers and sellers in the area,"  Gillum said.  "Give us a call to consign your cattle."

Gillum will be moving to Plainville with his wife, and sons ages 10 and 7.  "We look forward to meeting the people of the community," he said.  The sale barn will operate under the name of Plainville Livestock LLC.
