Tim Johnston and H.J. Colburn are owners of Shotgun Construction in Stockton.  They went into business in June, 2008 and have been busy ever since they formed the partnership.  Both Tim and H.J. have quite a bit of experience in construction with Tim's15 years of roofing and H.J.'s ten years in the construction business. 

The two used to do construction jobs on weekends before forming their own business.  Tim previously worked for KDOT and H.J. worked at Miller Building Supply in Phillipsburg.   Both wanted to own their own business for a long time and when the opportunity presented itself, they didn't hesitate.   They knew the work was there and that they could fill a need in the community.  As they put it, they were doing it anyway on the weekends and when they started to get too busy to handle all of their work on the weekends, they just took the next logical step and went full-time.

The services Shotgun Construction offers are putting on metal roofs, putting up metal buildings, re-siding barns, installing seemless gutters, windows, and decks. They will also do almost any kind of exterior work.  They are also direct suppliers for garage doors and sheet metal, they they can install for the people or order for those do-it-yourselfers, who just need the materials.
