Code Enforcement/ Animal Control Officer
The City of Plainville is accepting applications for a Code Enforcement/Animal Control Officer. This position investigates and ensures compliance with local codes and ordinances related to zoning, land use, building regulations, and other public safety matters. The position conduct inspections, investigate complaints, issue citations, and provide information to the public. The position enforces local and state laws regarding animal care and welfare. Duties include responding to complaints about animals, capturing stray animals, investigating animal cruelty and neglect, animal registration enforcement and educating the public about animal care and local regulations. Must have good report writing and record keeping skills as well as the ability to communicate well with the public. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid Kansas driver's license or ability to obtain one.
