Full-Time Night Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) / Medical Technologist (MT)

Rooks County Health Center is seeking a dedicated full-time Night Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) to join our laboratory team. This position plays a vital role in delivering accurate, high-quality laboratory services that support exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory testing.
  • Collect and process patient specimens, including phlebotomy.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform quality control on laboratory equipment.
  • Accurately analyze and report laboratory results while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Assist with blood bank, chemistry, hematology, and other routine laboratory procedures.
  • Prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Participate in on-call and weekend rotations as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • MLT or MT/MLS certification (or eligible under applicable CLIA requirements).
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred; qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.
